Strategies Reduce Return Hospital Visits for Asthma
Asthma management strategies, especially the availability of a pediatrician for consultation and the use of a standard, preprinted order sheet were associated with significantly reduced return visits in hospitals. This report came from a Canadian study by a group of doctors. They are effective and inexpensive strategies that are easily employed and can reduce return visits. The doctors found, however, that the smaller the hospital, the less these strategies were put into practice. (source)

Country star and FAAN spokesperson Trace Adkins will be among other celebrities on Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice premiering on NBC Thursday, January 3rd at 9:00 p.m. EST. Adkins has a daughter with severe food allergies. Throughout the series, over a million dollars will be raised for various charities, and the winner will also have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their charity of choice.
