Study Of Ragweed Offers Hope For Allergy Sufferers
Two environmental engineering doctoral students at The Johns Hopkins University are studying ragweed plants in hopes of better understanding the plant to better control ragweed allergies. They are using findings from the make up of the plant and the way the wind spreads the pollen. As little as 10 pollen grains per cubic meter can cause allergic reactions in those with sensitivities. Perhaps this will lead to the control of a very difficult to control plant. (source)
