Hmmm.... I think this may be the problem my friend has, as she said a lot of raw fruits and veggies make her mouth feel sore or strange. She thought it had to do with pesticides or preservatives on the outside of the fruits/veggies but it may be this. I'll be sure to tell her about it! She is really running out of safe foods to eat (down to 5 or 6 safe foods) due to various food allergies.

Do you have any idea of what a person can do when they are an adult with adult-onset food allergies and they are running out of safe foods to eat? I know kids can outgrow allergies, supposedly, but what about adults? She also had Diverticulitis, which cuts out any fruits/veggies with seeds inside them (like cucumbers & tomatoes), all nuts, dried and powdered spices... That and the food allergies really add up to be a LOT of stuff she can't eat.
